Wolf King Trooper Gaming Mouse Review

  • Product: Wolf King Trooper Gaming Mouse
  • Company: Wolf King

Today I would like to introduce you to the Wolf King Trooper Gaming Mouse. One of the less expensive gaming mice I have seen (you can find it for about $35) it has all the features you would expect from a high end laser mouse you would pay $70+ for. I was skeptical when I first received it but I put away my trusty Logitech MX518 and gave it a shot.

Wolf King Trooper Features

    First Impressions

When you open the box you will find the Wolf King Trooper comes packaged with a driver disc, instruction book, and some extra mouse feet (I thought that was a nice touch). The Trooper doesn't come with weights but is heavy enough that it doesn't require them. Installation took just a couple of minutes then I was ready to go.

I found the Wolf King Trooper fits comfortably in my hand while playing and using it felt very natural. The button placement at first concerned me because the "Fire" and adjustable sensitivity buttons were right on top but the way your hand naturally lays on the mouse puts them between your fingers where you can't accidentally press them. The thumb buttons are easy to reach also. The Trooper was easy to use in game and handled very well.

    Special Features

The Wolf King Trooper has two features that make it very attractive to gamers. the "Fire" button which you can use to adjust the amount of clicks one tap on the left mouse button produces (up to four) you can tell what your setting is by looking at the mouse wheel which lights up with a different colored LED for each setting, unlit for one, red for two, blue for three, and purple for four clicks. This can come in very handy on games where you start with a pistol or melee weapon.
The mouse also has a button to adjust the sensitivity. There three LEDs on the left side to indicate your sensitivity with red being 800dpi, blue for 1600dpi, and green for 2200dpi. This feature can be useful when driving a vehicle or using a turret in a game.
These two features do not require the mouse driver to work and in fact I later used the Windows XP native drivers and had no problems with the mouse at all.

The blue LED on the side indicates the dpi setting is 1600

I found a level of quality in the Wolf King Trooper Gaming Mouse I would expect in a much more expensive product. It seems some real thought went into designing the mouse and the "feel" of the mouse makes it a nice addition to any gamer's arsenal.
