Recommended:
- Pentium 4 processor (3.0 GHz or better)

Background
A problem that is beginning to plague the video game industry these days is a lack of originality. Sadly enough, the industry is beginning to emulate Hollywood in its relentless recycling of old ideas, so it’s really nice to see someone trying something new. Valve has created massive amounts of hype with this Portal ever since it was announced and every bit of it was deserved. It presents a new and interesting way of looking at games and will hopefully inspire other producers to try new things.
Initial Impressions
I purchased my copy of the orange box through Steam and the entire experience couldn’t have been easier. It was a few simple clicks and some credit card information and I was good to go. The download was a little too lengthy for my tastes but I suppose that’s the price you pay for not having to get up and go purchase it from the store. After the download finally finished which took my 2 days (University connection FTL), I started the game. From the moment I was greeted by GLaDOS, I knew that Portal was going to something special. Its art style and humor are original and engaging and help to draw the player into the game. The first few tests serve as a sort of tutorial for the player and helps to orient them in the world. However, its one of the few games I’ve ever experienced where playing through the tutorial was actually fun.
You are greeted with a glimpse of the starting point for Portal upon entering the game

The market for high quality gaming mouse pads has exploded the last few years. These days you can get a mouse surface made from plastic, glass, aluminum, and myriad other materials. Today we are looking at a mouse pad made of simple cloth that dares to compete against these more exotic wares.
The Package
The Pad arrived in typical cardboard and plastic packaging. The Steelpad QcK is a standard cloth mouse pad with a tight weave and quality construction. The box contained the mouse pad and a small pamphlet advertising some of Steel series other products.

Sunbeamtech LANparty Bag Review
- Product: Sunbeamtech LANparty Bag LAB-BA (Black)
- Company: Sunbeamtech
Introduction
Toting your computer to a LAN party is always the least enjoyable part of the LAN experience. The case can be unwieldy and keeping up with your mouse and other peripherals can be a pain. In the past I used an Antec carrying harness to transport my machine to the LANs I attend each year but I decided it was time for an upgrade. I found the Sunbeamtech LANparty Bag for $12.99 + shipping and decided for that price I would give it a try.
The LANparty Bag comes in either black or red with red being designated as LAB-R and black is LAB-BA. I ordered the black bag.
First Impressions
 The unboxed LANparty Bag
When I first pulled the LANparty Bag out of the box I was struck by it's weight, it is a lot heavier then you would expect for something made out of nylon. I discovered that all the nylon panels on the LANparty bag are padded (something you can't tell from pictures of it). This adds quite a bit of protection to your PC and was a welcomed find. The only thing that seemed to be missing was instructions on how to assemble the LANparty Bag.
